Pricing
Every business keeps its records differently, so the cost depends on the work involved. Ask for a quote with a few details about your business.
What shapes the fee
These are the things that usually make the biggest difference to the work involved for each service.
| Service | What affects the fee |
|---|---|
| Bookkeeping | How many transactions go through the business, how often the books need updating, and whether records arrive as software, spreadsheets or paper. |
| Self assessment | How many sources of income there are, such as self-employment, employment or property, and how complete the records are. |
| VAT returns | The volume of sales and purchases in each period and the VAT scheme the business uses. |
| Management accounts | How often you would like reports, for example monthly or quarterly, and how much detail you need. |
| CIS returns | How many subcontractors are paid each month, and whether you are a contractor, a subcontractor or both. |
Asking for a quote
The more you can say about your business up front, the easier it is to understand what you need. A short message covering the points here is plenty to start with.
- What your business does, and whether you trade as a sole trader or partnership
- Which services you are interested in
- Whether you are VAT registered
- Whether you work under the Construction Industry Scheme
- How your records are kept now: software, spreadsheet or paper
